TLScontact photo requirements
TLScontact, part of Teleperformance, runs visa application centres and biometric enrolment mainly for European governments — France, the UK, Belgium, Germany, Italy, Poland, Portugal and others. Photo requirements come from the consulate, not from TLScontact.
Independent guide — not affiliated with or endorsed by TLScontact. Photo rules are set by the destination government; always follow the checklist for your application.
Photo size by destination
Schengen files handled by TLScontact need 35 × 45 mm photos on a light background with the head 32–36 mm, taken within 6 months. UK visa applicants usually need no printed photo because it is captured biometrically at the centre. Pick your destination to open its photo maker with the right size, head height and background pre-set.
Photo tips for TLScontact appointments
- For Schengen files bring two 35 × 45 mm ICAO photos on a light background, taken within 6 months.
- UK visa applicants usually do not need printed photos — the biometric photo is taken at the centre.
- Do not wear glasses or heavy make-up for the biometric capture.
- If your photo is doubtful, pre-book the on-site photo booth rather than risk an incomplete file.
Why photos get rejected at the counter
- Photo older than 6 months or no longer resembling you
- Not 35 × 45 mm, or head outside 32–36 mm (Schengen)
- Dark or patterned background
- Glare on glasses, tinted lenses, non-religious headwear
Centre service pages list a photo booth for ICAO-compliant photos taken during the appointment, for a small fee (around US$12 at the Washington DC France centre).
