1. Who we are
My Passport Photo Maker (www.mypassportphotomaker.com) is a free browser tool for making passport, visa and ID photos. It is an independent service, not affiliated with any government or visa application centre.
2. Data we do not collect
- Your photos, or any image derived from them.
- Face measurements, landmarks or any other biometric data.
- Your name, email address, phone number, or any account details — there are no accounts.
- Which country or document you chose, what the checks reported, or what you downloaded.
- Any behavioural or advertising profile.
3. How the tool handles your photo
When you choose a photo, your browser opens it in memory and runs the face-detection and background models locally using WebAssembly. Cropping, background replacement, the compliance checks and the print-sheet export all happen on your device. The photo is never written to a server, a cookie, or your browser's persistent storage, and it is discarded when you close or reload the page. The only lasting copies are the files you decide to download, which are saved to your own device.
4. What does travel over the network
- The website's own files (pages, scripts, fonts, example images), served by our hosting provider Vercel. Like every web server, it keeps short-lived standard logs — IP address, time, requested page and browser type — for security and reliability. We do not use these to identify you.
- The face-detection and background models, downloaded once from Google's public model storage and then cached by your browser. This is an ordinary file download; no photo or personal data is included in the request.
Nothing else is transmitted. You can verify this with your browser's developer tools (Network tab) while using the tool.
5. Cookies
We set no advertising, analytics or tracking cookies, which is why there is no cookie banner. Details are on the cookie policy page.
6. Children's photos
Photos of babies and children are handled exactly like any other photo: on your device only, never uploaded, never stored.
7. Third parties
We do not sell, rent or share any data with anyone — we hold none to share. Links to government or visa-centre websites are provided for reference; those sites have their own privacy policies.
8. Your rights
Under laws such as the GDPR, UK GDPR, CCPA and India's DPDP Act you have rights to access, correct and delete personal data. Because we do not collect or store any personal data, there is nothing for us to access, correct or delete on your behalf — everything stays with you.
9. Security
The site is served over HTTPS. Since your photo never leaves your device, the main safeguard is your own device and browser — keep them up to date.
10. Changes
If we ever change how data is handled — for example by adding anonymous, cookie-free analytics — this page will be updated first and the change described plainly. Last updated 2026-09-20.
