About My Passport Photo Maker
A passport photo should not cost a trip to a studio — or your privacy.
Passport photos are rejected for small, measurable reasons: the head is a few millimetres too small, the eyes sit too low, there is a shadow on the wall. My Passport Photo Maker measures your photo against the published specification and tells you, in millimetres, whether it passes — before you print it.
How it works
- A face-landmark model locates your eyes, chin and face outline; a segmentation model finds the top of your hair and separates you from the background.
- The photo is levelled, scaled and cropped so the head height and eye line land inside the allowed range for your document.
- Size, centring, pose, expression, exposure, shadows, sharpness, background and clothing are then checked, and anything that needs attention is flagged.
- You download a single photo, a small file for online forms, or a 4 × 6 inch sheet to print at 600 dpi.
Private by design
All of this runs inside your browser. Your photo is never sent to a server, so there is nothing for us to store, leak or sell. You can even disconnect from the internet after the page has loaded and the tool keeps working.
What we don't do
We never retouch your face — passport rules forbid it. And we are not a government service: the issuing authority makes the final decision on every photo.
